Casa Marica

This is an apartment with soul. It’s clear the host put a lot of heart into its design and cared deeply about guest comfort. After a trip on a cooler, rainy day, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm radiators and heated living space. A beautiful, tidy garden and the quietness added to the stay.

Séjour entre pote, Marica était au top ! Accueillante, elle essayait de parler le français et le comprenait. Son logement est dépaysant, bucolique et bien entretenu. Et surtout, c’est calme ! Il faut apprécier la nature et la montagne pour venir chez Marica. Ps : attention, la cuisine est dehors sous un parvi à l’abri. Cela ne nous a aucunement dérangé mais c’etait une decouverte. 🙂

The hotel is close to Durău, on a quiet side street, and the rooms are spacious. However, privacy was missing; the owner lives in the same house and I still don’t know if the bathroom is shared with her. The owner also entered the rented rooms the next day, not to clean. The yard is tiny, so if you have a child there isn’t much to run around. There’s no gazebo or bench, only an old couch on one side of the house. The kitchen is outside and outdated. The main entrance shown in photos is closed; access is through a side of the house that isn’t in the pictures. The first thing I paid for was a few logs used for the barbecue.
