The apartment was atmospheric, big, and in an old townhouse, and I think it could comfortably hold up to 8 people. The loft‑style décor matched the surroundings, and it was clean. Check‑in and the stay went smoothly. The host gave us very detailed instructions even before arrival. We used the nearby parking that was included in the apartment price. The area is definitely nightlife‑heavy, so if the weekend club noise bothers you, I’d advise against it; it didn’t bother us. The bathroom was tiny and not very comfortable, and the bed was uncomfortable.

Everything we needed was close by, which was great 😊 I didn’t like that the parking garage was down the street, and there was no trash bin for us to throw our trash away.

“Would stay again”

The restaurants were right there, and we were in the middle of everything. The beds were marvelous. The can opener was missing, and the dishwasher wouldn’t open.

I liked how safe we felt in the building. The unit is very spacious and extremely comfortable, and the downtown location is amazing if you like to walk around and try different food. The only downside is the club directly across the street. The noise didn’t bother me, but I can see how it would to others.

“convenient downtown location”

We liked the location because it was within walking distance to the local theatre. Included parking and pet‑friendly amenities were a huge plus. The Wi‑Fi was solid, there were plenty of towels, extra toiletries, blankets, and in‑unit laundry. A fully stocked kitchen made it nice to cook our own meals. The coded keypad for building entry and the unit door left us feeling secure and at home. Unfortunately we had trouble sleeping almost every night because of the noise pollution from the street in front of the building. A few clubs play very loud music late into the evening and draw large crowds. The hosts do provide earplugs, though; they have no control over how noisy it is. So any travelers that want to be right in the middle of the action in the San Diego Gaslamp district will find this a perfect spot.
