“Nettes Landhotel im Grünen”

A charming, small country hotel located by a little lake and stream, with a friendly reception and a reasonably spacious room overlooking the water. It’s a relief that they didn’t ask for my credit card and deposit first, and the breakfast was good in a pleasant setting. I wasn’t told during booking or check‑in that a big party was happening in the building at the same time, and my room sat right above the party room where loud DJ music blasted until about 02.30 am, making sleep impossible. That ruined the otherwise positive impression, and a heads‑up would have been nice so I could have chosen another place.

“Wunderbar”

The place is great: a quiet spot on Sachsenwald and Mühlenteich, with very friendly, attentive staff, a wonderful historic building that still feels modern, excellent breakfast, lovely, individual rooms with thoughtful amenities, a spacious, spotless bathroom, very good food, shaded, free parking in front of the house, and free Wi‑Fi. I only wish there had been a kettle in the room for morning coffee and evening tea, but that’s just high‑level complaining.

I was pleasantly surprised and overall satisfied. The breakfast was tasty but “overly simple.” As a guest I’d have liked to pay a bit more for a higher‑end breakfast (e.g., more options at 08:15 am, maybe scrambled eggs and fresh fruit with the muesli). But as an inclusive breakfast it was acceptable.

“Ein Aufenthalt ist sehr zu empfehlen”

I recently stayed at a hotel that exceeded my expectations in every way. The stunning location and beautiful outdoor space set the tone for a wonderful stay, and the room itself was top-notch. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, making me feel right at home. However, I did notice that the hotel could improve its environmental impact by reducing single-use packaging at breakfast, but this was a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent stay.
