How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The front desk added an extra 3-4 dollars under the guise of a tourist tax. However, the booking page clearly stated the tourist tax was only about 3100 som. The front desk refused to accept that amount, claiming the booking system was wrong. The other two hotels and guesthouses I stayed at in Bukhara had the same tourist tax, but none of them overcharged—only this place tried to scam guests.

The receptionist said there was a lobby toilet only for staff, not guests, and laughed when I told him I really needed to go.

The hotel forced us to pay in cash, which was ridiculous. We had spare cash with us and paid with it, but the funny part is that when you give the money you have to pay the exact accommodation fee—no change given. If your stay is 72 dollars and you give 80, they won’t accept it. They’re picky even when taking cash. I didn’t think it was clean. Breakfast wasn’t included, so I can’t comment on that. The location seems close, but the hotel feels like a place where girls go to get picked up; we always took taxis back, never walked. Won’t go again.

I went to check in and was told the hotel was fully booked, so they escorted me to another property, and my reservation details were stored on that computer.
