12 Borwick Lakes- Newly Refurbished

“Lakes and onsite facilities were beautiful, shame about the cleanliness of the the caravan and being blamed for somethin”

The cupboard had dirty dishes, a slug was in one of the beds and a bug was on the double bed when the covers were pulled back; we were blamed for breaking a lamp that certainly wasn’t ours, even though we left the van perfectly clean, stripped the beds, left the bathroom spotless, vacuumed and mopped, and scrubbed the decking area with hot soapy water—this is really disappointing!

“Nice van but would not recommend for young families.”

The main bed was comfortable, the single beds were decent but not amazing, the kitchen had good appliances and utensils, the bathroom was clean, and the outdoor seating was fine except the cushions had been left out in the rain so we couldn’t use them. The van itself was fine, but the TV unit moves so I wouldn’t recommend it for families with young children like ours. The dining table is missing parts and moves when sat on it, again not great for small kids because it’s glass. We booked this van mainly for its location near the indoor pool and spa, advertised as included, but when we got there we were told the pool wasn’t free and would cost £95; had we known that we wouldn’t have booked. The van has WiFi, but it’s unreliable and we couldn’t watch a film all the way through, which was difficult.

The site was peaceful, the ponds with ducks and other wildlife were very pretty, and the small children's playground was well used by my grandchildren. We used the swimming pool and the restaurant across the road, both very good, and the restaurant staff were excellent with good food. The decking area at the caravan was a good place to sit and for the children to play safely. The caravan itself looks a bit tired after a busy season and needs some repairs, there is no WiFi, no hairdryer, the beds are uncomfortable and you can feel the springs, and there are no recycling bins.

“First holiday with my big sis”

I loved the area—it’s so beautiful, and the lodge was really lovely 😍

“Lovely break, good communication from owners, comfortable caravan.”

Very well equipped , everything you need for a nice break. Towels were provided but we had taken our own, beds all made although we only used 1. Bottle of wine was a lovely touch. Not a complaint but the outside furniture was frayed and not very comfortable
