I had an unforgettable adventure staying here. The owner kept in touch and supplied up‑to‑date travel info. It’s roughly a 35‑minute walk from Mitsamiouli’s center, or you can hop on a cheap shared taxi up the road. The shared taxi/bus to Moroni is very inexpensive. If you’re coming straight from the airport, you’ll probably need a taxi; the owner can arrange one at a fair price, and you can use public transit to return. If you’re into camping and an “off‑grid” vibe, this place is perfect. The owner is cool, and I enjoyed learning about her life. The cabin was very cozy, and she gave extra blankets for chilly nights. Bring slip‑on shoes or sandals— the floor is made of small rocks, old coral, and stepping stones, not ideal for barefoot walking. Also bring bug spray; the owner supplies anti‑mosquito coils. In the island’s north, you’re close to many natural sights. If rocky beaches aren’t your thing, there’s a gorgeous sandy beach less than a ten‑minute walk away that feels very private and calm. I’d definitely stay again! Just a heads‑up: stock up on drinking water and snacks before heading out. You can buy supplies in the village or on the road to town, but after dark it may be harder to find anything. There’s no Wi‑Fi (the owner says so), and if you have a newer phone that doesn’t use a physical SIM, Comoros’s network doesn’t support eSIMs at the moment (the network rep told me this when I tried to buy one). Power outages happen, but that’s normal; the owner knows when electricity is on or off and will inform you. To avoid confusion—booking had some incorrect info (not the owner’s fault)—be ready to pay in cash. If you don’t like a rustic, camping vibe, this might not suit you.

This little hut is great, with a nice bed and a dense mosquito net. Comfort isn’t to be expected, though. The dry toilet and shower use rain‑water storage externally. Extra breakfast and dinner are very good.

The environment is nice. There is no electricity or running water. The hotel is very far from the city center and hard to reach.

This is a wonderful place, just near the beach; it feels like heaven. Sylviane, your host, is very friendly and can give you a lot of information. Take public transport to Moroni, a nice little city. Nothing. It’s a good idea to bring some bottles of water with you.
