The hotel is right next to the US Open and the breakfast spread was excellent, even complimentary. I also liked the snack bar, though a shuttle to the Open during fan week would have been a nice addition.

The breakfast was delicious, and the hotel staff were very friendly and understanding. In particular, the front desk lady helped us with the payment because our card wasn’t working, and a kitchen guy treated us superbly at night when we needed milk for our son, even though there was no shop nearby. Thanks a lot!

The breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, especially the option to make waffles on a griddle. Plus, there’s a free shuttle to La Guardia Airport, which is very useful.

The location is good and the attached parking garage was handy, especially in the rain. The staff were exceptionally friendly and worked hard to keep things clean. However, everything felt old and in need of an update: the vinyl on the chairs in our room split, the duvet covers were worn and snagged, the shower curtain was dingy, the shower had a hole in the wall that likely leaked behind it, the bathroom vanity was falling apart, and the room door wouldn’t close on its own—it had to be forced shut. The nightly rate didn’t reflect the quality.
