Locanda del Pilone, a restored farmhouse perched 5 km from Alba, offers sweeping Langhe vistas and Alpine horizons. Surrounded by Barolo vineyards, the stone building blends antique Piedmont furnishings, vaulted ceilings, and modern Wi‑Fi. A lounge with a grand fireplace and a historic restaurant serve local cuisine paired with regional wines, making it a unique hilltop retreat.

Everything very elegant. No complaints.

The hillside spot is gorgeous, tucked into the unique, spectacular scenery of Alba’s vineyards. The hotel feels warm, spotless, and very cozy, almost like home. Our two‑storey junior suite turned out to be very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Inside you’ll find a bistro and a Michelin‑starred restaurant. The staff are extremely kind, always ready and helpful. Great value for money – we’ll be back soon.

The view is fantastic and the place is close to Alba. The outdoor dining area is nice. The bistro, however, seemed a bit understaffed compared to the Michelin restaurant.

The property is surrounded by countryside. It could use a bit of modernization.
