“Great location, helpful staff and clean rooms”

Breakfast – convenient, quick, and friendly service. Location – within walking distance to the major tourist attractions. But booking a grab directly to the hotel can be a bit busy/hectic; we found it easier to book walking a bit away from the hotel. All the staff were really friendly and professional, but our favorite was the hotel’s mascot…a chubby beagle named Kemal. Make sure to give him a few pets if you happen to stay here. Nothing negative.

We really appreciated the staff, always kind, available, welcoming, and sincerely dedicated to the guests. We were particularly struck by the care with which guests are received and greeted, which makes the stay even more pleasant. We also appreciated the welcome card and the possibility to book directly through the property many activities, as well as transfer and driver services, making everything very convenient and organized.

“Habitaciones LLENAS de mosquitos.”

Nothing good. We had to go two nights earlier. The room was full of mosquitoes. They offered another room in the same conditions. They came in from everywhere. The furniture was very old. The bed was uncomfortable. The receptionist’s service was very unpleasant and distrustful.

The location was great—straight ahead for peace, left for the bustle, close to walking routes, though on a fairly busy road. Breakfast was served in a restaurant next to the hotel and the combos offered felt odd. On the first day, five of the six pool loungers were occupied, so after an hour we tossed all towels into the basket; the next day the hotel handled that itself.

“A little piece of calm with a fab breakfast.”

The Meruhdani feels like a small oasis of calm right in Ubud, and its spot is ideal for visiting Ubud Palace and Saraswati. The Sweet Orange walking trail and most dance performances are just a short walk away. For a hotel of this standard, the breakfast was amazing, even though the selection was limited; I especially enjoyed avocado on sweet potato topped with tomato and crispy bacon. Sometimes quality beats quantity.
