The spot is perfect for a lot of walks straight out the door, and the staff I met were all friendly, relaxed, and welcoming to me and my dog. The room was spotless and fully equipped, and breakfast was great too. I just wish I could have stayed longer—everything was excellent!

My sister and I spent two nights here and were really impressed by the friendly staff; the room was spacious and immaculately clean. The food was good—we had lunch, breakfast, and a roast, all delicious. The location is ideal for exploring the Peaks, and I can’t think of any negatives.

The place is very quirky and the breakfast is lovely 😋, but the bar and off‑site prices are quite expensive, so we had to drive to get better deals.
