“Good value comfortable accommodation in heart of a lovely town”

The room was surprisingly peaceful despite overlooking the high street and having floors above and below, and the little seating area separated from the main room let one person read while the other slept; a curtain or film over the internal window by the door would improve privacy, but the room, bathroom, and bed were all clean and comfortable, and the shared kitchen was well equipped; the yard you enter through needs a thorough clean‑up, the bushes around the gate trimmed, and a sign for the accommodation, and it could become a nice outdoor space with chairs and plant pots.

I met Paul & Jane, but it was hard to find the entrance to the property, there was no nearby parking, it wasn’t dog friendly, and the shower and toilet had a very mouldy smell.

A quirky spot right in the heart of Kington, the place offers a huge bathroom and a large bedroom with a comfy bed. The shared kitchen is well stocked, even surprising with breakfast items, and the pod coffee machine works nicely. The Thai restaurant downstairs served tasty food and the staff were friendly. The only downside was the tricky access for anyone with limited mobility—low beams and a low ceiling made moving between the bedroom, bathroom, and entrance difficult.

“A great place to stay”

The accommodation is comfortable, private, and well-equipped. Finding it was a real challenge despite the detailed description, but locals helped me out.

Tina is a lovely host! Friendly, helpful and goes out of her way to make visitors welcome. Her breakfasts are excellent: gorgeous fruit and yoghurt and cooked breakfasts to order. Our room was spacious and comfortable, good shower. There’s nothing to be done about the downside: lovely old beams in the room: mind your head!
