Air conditioning and the water pressure are good. The rooms look a bit like a doctor’s office with beds, and the lack of carpet is a big drawback.

The area near the station is fairly unfriendly, and trams ran nonstop outside the windows all night. Before falling asleep you need to drink enough alcohol, which I underestimated, and I didn’t sleep well.

As a simple lodging, it will do. Interesting: there is a kettle, but no mugs, and I won’t even mention the other dishes.

Every time I head back to Hotel Rada, it’s because of its great spot right by the main station and close to where I need to be. It’s not a five‑star place, but it’s enough for a comfortable sleep. I’ve tried other spots in Ostrava, but this one gives me the best price‑to‑performance ratio. The beds are comfy, the bathroom and toilet in the room are clean, and I’m happy with the late‑afternoon/evening self‑check‑in process. The walls are thick and the rooms are well‑spaced, so I barely hear any neighbors. I already feel almost at home here :D The only thing that bothers me a bit is the thin towels, which, along with the bedding, smell strongly of a fragrant detergent that might not suit everyone. Sometimes the view outside the windows is wild at night. In the mornings, loud Ukrainian guests in the hallway—probably heading to work early, like around five a.m. today—can be a bit disruptive, but it’s manageable.

The location is great. The room itself could be cleaner.
