Nothing much was offered. The reception was nonexistent; after calling, we were told about a “key box,” and after following the instructions to pay for the key, it wasn’t handed out. We had to have the operator guide us over the phone to retrieve it. It was impossible to book breakfast the next day because the responsible person wasn’t there and we were told to pay in advance. All these details are supposedly on the website, which is incorrect. In short, avoid it.
“Hôtel étape impersonnel, bien pour une nuit mais pas plus.”
The hotel was spotless and the parking straightforward, while the bed felt very comfy and the staff stayed out of sight. However, the experience felt completely impersonal—there was no front‑desk greeting and everything was handled by a key‑dispensing machine; the room was stripped down, became unbearably hot at night, the fan was noisy, and aggressive mosquitoes made it impossible to cool the space. The breakfast fell short of any reasonable quality‑for‑price standard: stale bread on the first morning (no bread at all on the second), pre‑sliced brioche and whole‑grain loaf, a sad buffet lacking pastries, fresh bread, fresh fruit, offering only two jam varieties and no honey.
“Parfait”
Even though the property sits right beside a busy road, the soundproofing kept it surprisingly quiet and we enjoyed three solid nights there; the place felt welcoming, the breakfast was spot‑on, and the bed was pleasant to sleep on.
I had no staff at all; you really need to be an engineer to get in here.
“Nog niet eerder ervaren concept”
It was on the road of our trip, but there was no contact with any staff.
