“Titbits of gardenia”
The location is great and the property sits nicely in a beautiful gated community, with reasonable prices. Inside, however, the upkeep was lacking: the caretaker was rarely present in the villa, though reachable by phone; the wardrobe was dirty, the kitchen wasn’t cleaned, and the food supplier was unprofessional, consistently arriving late. Tea came in aluminium pouches, the supplier became rude when I complained, and the food was overpriced. I’d recommend steering clear of the food supplier and the restaurant Jai Baba Loknath.
“We will come again”
The newly painted bungalow was calm and quiet, and relaxing beneath the chatim tree was excellent. There was no on‑site food, but a local vendor supplied breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a reasonable rate, delivered to the bungalow at no extra charge. The caretaker did provide a mobile phone, but there was no view of the Ganges.
“Bad host, worse experience in a quaint town”
The estate under Ambuja looked nice, but this particular privately managed property was in disarray with no management. The property was dirty and mismanaged, lacking basic facilities; bats roamed inside, rooms were filthy, towels had waste on them, and no garbage bags were supplied. The fans made noise, the AC remote was missing, and the pillows felt like bricks while the bed was hard. The manager ignored the issue even after receiving money to fix the amenities, and the Air Con made noise while we were charged unfairly.
The ambiance was lovely, but the food was too expensive.
“Good location with a poor support team.”
The location and environment were good, yet the room offered a dirty toilet, no dressing mirror, and no food arrangements. Food delivery from the third‑party provider was delayed severely.
