The front desk staff were very friendly and the service was excellent!
The location is good and there are several water flavors available. The bathroom furnishings are worn and the cleanliness could be improved.
“Love the hotel, shame there is no cooked breakfast”
The location near Union Square is great, and the hotel has a unique personality with a carved stone entrance, gothic/period feel, and a full‑size theatre on site! It used to be the HQ for the Elks and still carries that atmosphere. Very clean, very friendly staff, full of interesting artistic features, well worth a visit – especially if you appreciate an unusual, historic, old‑world vibe. It’s a very good hotel, and if they offered high‑quality cooked food – especially a good cooked breakfast – it could be great. During our stay the theatre was being used for a production of “Hairspray,” which was a shame because I’d have liked to see a play (as I did a couple of years ago). Even the very friendly man at the front desk, when we checked in, mentioned that “Hairspray” was being staged for commercial reasons, presumably rather than artistic or cultural ones; but that’s mainly a matter of taste.
“Hotel bem localizado e preço razoável”
Attentive team and great location.
The room and bathroom were perfect, spotless, and cleaned daily – the staff did a great job. The bed was very comfortable and large, there was a fridge and a coffee machine. The small breakfast offered coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and packaged croissants, which was very appreciated. The staff were very kind and especially helpful, and the view from the room was fantastic! The hotel is just steps from Union Square, a great location! There’s a 24‑hour water dispenser, and the lobby features a beautiful piano. The only thing I’d add is more variety to the breakfast, but otherwise everything was excellent.
