The spot’s perfect for exploring Istanbul and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good and filling for the day ahead, but there were many extra charges for tea and coffee in the room, which surprised us even though we didn’t use them.

Only the location was convenient. The place is so rundown it doesn’t match the pictures; the bathroom is a disaster—tiny, dirty, black, and the water keeps changing from cold to hot. The value is very low.

We stayed at this hotel and it was a truly pleasant experience. The spot was spot-on – cafés, bars and restaurants line the street, and you’re just a few minutes’ walk from Istiklal Street and Taksim Square. From Taksim you can hop on the metro or buses with ease, making Istanbul a breeze to get around. The Bosphorus is also a 15–20 minute stroll away. Every morning the Turkish breakfast arrived with eggs, cheese, olives, sausage and freshly baked bread that was simply delicious. Our room had all the essentials: iron, hairdryer, air conditioning, and the double curtains were a lifesaver, blocking morning light so we slept soundly. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful, which only added to the enjoyment. All in all, we were very happy and would definitely recommend this place, especially for its unbeatable location.

We had such a lovely stay at the Prelude Hotel! The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. There was always someone there to help, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was freshly prepared every morning with so much love and was absolutely delicious. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, right at Taksim Square, putting us directly in the heart of Istanbul with everything close by. What made this hotel truly special was the genuine hospitality and the feeling of being so well taken care of. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

The location, the family’s hospitality, and the breakfast were all good, but the hotel itself was a disaster. It’s in disrepair and clearly needs a renovation. I paid 550 riyals for two nights and didn’t even finish the booking. The reviews that were 9+ made me think it was a fake; the reality was a letdown. The room cost 40 riyals for a night, and you can’t even get a decent shower. The family might have good intentions, but the building itself needs a makeover.
