I stayed in a hotel close to the main street of the village, near the museum and the lake. The room was spacious, with a sofa and a balcony. Breakfast and dinner aren't served (2026), but there's a bakery and several restaurants nearby. The mattresses were fine and the bathroom looked newly renovated. Everything was clean, and there were plenty of parking spaces. The hotel, like much of Bad Bederkesa, has seen better days, and we couldn't find a cozy pub.
“Leider nie wieder!”
Everything was very clean, new bathroom fixtures, free parking. The furniture was in poor condition – the sofa, armchair and bed were sagging, which made the night sleepless. The restaurant was closed, a faucet was broken, and after every use we had to flush the soda, plus the heating didn’t work.
“Akzeptable Unterkunft für 1-2 Nächte”
The room was clean and the bathroom brand‑new, and the mattress was excellent. The overall appearance of the hotel was a bit old‑fashioned and somewhat dated.
The price and location were good. The old-fashioned feel, staff sometimes absent, and the place needs repairs.
“Im Großen und Ganzen ist der Aufenthalt dort o.k., wenn auch etwas basal.”
The thermal spa area is perfect because everything is within walking distance. The hotel is a bit dated and offers no dining service at all. Signage for the café, Warsteiner Stuben, etc., is basically history. Given this situation, it would have been nice to have a hot water dispenser in the room instead of just one glass of water.
