“Un Robo”
We lost our boat to Mallorca during a storm and had to find a hostel or hotel. We were close to that hostel, so we went there at 00–01 am to sleep that night, but Booking had the reservation for the next day. I suspect you tried to rob us. I called the hostel door, which was closed, and even rang the phone on the door to see if something would happen, but nobody answered 30 minutes after the reservation. I saw on my phone that the booking was for the next day. I filed a complaint, but 30 minutes after making the reservation I tried to contact you and kept getting a voicemail… We slept without a place in that hostel and lost more than €150, which you apparently stole from me. That hostel does not offer refunds, it’s their policy, and you Booking did what you could. I doubt anyone answered at 6 am or looked at that email instead of a bot with an automatic reply. You didn’t refund me, so for me it was a robbery and humiliation, both from the hostel and from Booking. You made €150 and your commission for nothing; paying in advance for something you don’t know if it’s open or if they can serve you in the middle of the night was a robbery. Your reply at 6 am said you wouldn’t return the money, and on top of that we slept in the rain, in a bank, after looking for a hotel or a place to stay. We stayed on the street all night during a storm, with all hotels and hostels full due to flight cancellations and a football match.
