“Stellar!!”
This cozy hideaway in Russell feels like a private oasis—no neighbors, no other guests, just you and the place. The room, Stella, is surprisingly spacious with plenty of storage, and its retro vibe feels more like a long hotel capsule than a trailer. Inside you’ll find power points on both sides of the bed, an overhead light at each end, a bedside lamp, and fridges that stay cold—one bar‑sized in the trailer and a larger bar fridge in the kitchenette. WiFi is fast, the bed offers just the right firmness, and the linens are clean with a doona. There’s no air‑con, but a fan and plenty of windows with insect screens keep the room airy. In mid‑Feb the insect level was low; I only saw five mosquitoes inside the trailer, so keeping the door closed after dark is enough, and I didn’t get bitten even outside. The shower and bathroom are modern, with good water pressure and hot water that never ran out even when two people showered in the morning and at night. The kitchenette is charming and fully equipped, including a single electronic hotplate. The Nespresso‑style pod machine with milk frother is simple and lovely for mornings overlooking the sunny deck. And the hot tub on the deck is the best way to unwind after a day exploring the islands. I highly recommend it and will be back next time we visit Russell!
