The setting is very bucolic and the house is beautiful. The reception was a bit brief, but I arrived without notice so that might be understandable. There was no breakfast at the end.

The garden and terrace are great, but as mentioned before the house is very old, our room smelled musty on arrival, the entire building was empty except for us, it was unclear if others were coming, and the keys were left in a relatively accessible spot, making it feel less secure.

The building was lovely and the room was nice, and the instructions were clear. However, next to us was a large industrial site, and the owner accused us of entering their part of the building even though we just went straight up to our room. There was no evidence of fire precautions—no fire doors, smoke alarms, extinguishers, evacuation plans, or fire exit signs.

The rooms were grand, the surrounding park was beautiful, and the decor of the rooms was impressive.

The house was grand and impressive with large gardens, and it was pet friendly, so I could bring my chihuahua. The owner was unaware that the booking was available because they were hosting a wedding the next day. There was no breakfast, and they said I could get breakfast in the village, but there was not a single coffee shop there.
