1 double bed
1 double bed
Location is fine, but the bed was literally broken. Wi‑Fi was extremely weak, and the bathroom was a complete mess.
“Awful”
The staff let me drop my bag in the room before check‑in, but the bed was broken and held up with bricks, the kitchen was filthy, the shower in the bathroom was broken, and I slipped on the stairs because the carpet wasn’t secured. Chewing gum was stuck to a window ledge, and there were boxes of staff on the landings. Shockingly, the rooms had no keys, so anyone could enter when you were out, and the doors kept banging all night.
“bad”
It was open late so I could check in after hours, but there was mould, poop, a dirty nappy under the bed, and the shared bathroom was actually vile. A sock covered the smoke alarm, and the room smelled like cigarettes.
The property was extremely dirty and poorly maintained throughout our two‑night stay. The floors, kitchen, and bathroom were filthy, with a grimy hob, encrusted pans, and an unclean sink. A “Keep Clean” sign hung on the shower rack didn’t reflect the reality. On arrival there were no towels, no clean bedsheets, and no shower gel. The bedsheets and duvet were old, dirty, and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, making it impossible to sleep properly. The bed wasn’t big enough for three people. A small fan in the room was broken, and we reported this to the host via WhatsApp with no response. When we asked about the breakfast, the host did not reply. Breakfast, advertised as included, turned out to be just a jar of coffee and a box of cereal left in the shared kitchen. On our last night, we found human faeces in the shower area, which was deeply distressing and unhygienic. I became sick because of this, and my daughter became mentally distressed during the stay as a result of the overall unhealthy environment. Due to all of this, we were unable to sleep properly for either of the two nights. We never met the host in person throughout the stay. The ceiling in our room was also visibly cracked, which felt unsafe with our daughter staying with us.
“Completely unpleasant, and you feel helpless having paid for something like that.”
The only good thing was the location, but the place was filthy, the room had a strong cigarette smell, the bed and sheets looked dirty and lumpy, and the toilet and shower were unhygienic. I paid for breakfast too, and all I got were old hard cereals. I couldn’t sleep at night because people were constantly passing by, banging on doors, and making all sorts of noises, including alarms or some kind of devices.
