The place is gorgeous and calming, but the breakfast kitchen moves at a snail's pace, and they add a service fee they claim is for the “kitchen staff” while still asking for a tip to the waiter.

Breakfast was decent, but we stayed in rooms 9 and 10. The restaurant downstairs, open from 6 am to 10 pm, was noisy, and our doors lacked peepholes and safety chains, so we felt unsafe because the stairs are right next to the main entrance—anyone could come in. Parking was also a hassle with only four spots.

The view was nice, yet the rooms felt tacky: cupboard edges were peeling, rust showed on door hinges, and the overall quality didn’t match the price; the restaurant’s dinner was just average.

The location is beautiful with stunning views, and the staff—especially Njabulo and Wendy—were friendly and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable; the spa was among the best. Still, the rooms and bathrooms needed more work for the price we paid, so the short stay didn’t feel worth the money, but overall it was a lovely break.
