Yuma Tashi Hostel

This hostel sits just a short walk from the metro and a night street market, offers a good mattress, clean bedding, and friendly owners at reception, so it’s a decent spot for a couple to stay one night. However, there were a lot of prostitutes outside, it’s a very busy hostel, there were no curtains (though that was fine for me), no windows in the dorm (not a disaster), no personal light (still okay), and someone had my cake in the fridge (😂 lol) – you should put your food in a bag and sign it.

The location was great, close to the station, and the staff were very kind and kept watch day and night; the lady even asked me words in my language to greet me and make me feel at home. They offered a free water bottle, and there was a 7‑11 right in front with nearby markets and sights. The walls were thin and you could hear the neighbors talking, the bed was quite hard (I like firm mattresses but this one was too firm), and the outlet was far from the bed and very high.

The staff were friendly, but my bed scratched me all the time, there was no hot water in the shower, hygiene was lacking, I didn’t stay the second night, and unfortunately I didn’t get a refund even though I chose to leave.

Nothing good to say. Booking here is like living in a Mumbai slum; if you’re not from India or Pakistan, look elsewhere.
