“Loved this little hotel!”
The hotel was very cozy, the location peaceful and within a short walk of the city centre, and the amenities and breakfast were excellent. The backyard had birds and cute squirrels.

St Margaret’s Hotel, a Victorian landmark, sits five minutes from Oxford’s historic centre. Its stained‑glass windows, high ceilings, and bay windows echo classic charm. Rooms feature flat‑screen TVs, wardrobes, tea/coffee facilities, and bath or shower with complimentary toiletries. A private garden, free Wi‑Fi, and on‑site parking enhance comfort. Nearby, Ashmolean Museum, Bodleian Library, Oxford Castle, theatres, restaurants, and bars are within a 10‑minute drive or 20‑minute walk.

The place was clean, the room small but comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good on a veranda overlooking the garden, and the value for money was solid. The location was a bit far from Oxford city centre.

We were a group of seven cyclists and could leave our bikes safely in the garden. We were lucky that it didn’t rain. We walked into the centre and the Jerico area for food. Breakfast was excellent and we had a lovely stay. Nothing was missing.

When I go to Oxford I always stay here. It’s not far from the centre, especially close to Oxford University Engineering. The staff are friendly and free parking is available. I was a bit disappointed that there was no mini‑fridge in the room.
