“Nice convenient hotel close to the dijk.”
It’s a good stop‑off point before the Asfluitdijk, only 7 k to the bus stop. No one was at reception when we arrived, the hotel was all locked. We had to ask a shop owner to ring for us. Also only one restaurant was open on a Wednesday in September, so watch when you book in.
Everything was neatly arranged, nothing to remark on, I will definitely come back. Nothing to remark on.
Nice and clean. You can freely take (delicious) coffee in beautiful crockery and sit and chill or read in a homely atmosphere. The bedroom is a bit tight. No extra small table/relax chair, no mirror. Otherwise fine and clean. That’s what matters most.
“Goed voor 1 nachtje, niet te duur voor dichtbij de kust maar weinig comfort, moeizame communicatie.”
The bed was OK, and I didn’t want any metal springs that would poke at the back or side of my already heavy self. It’s wide enough even though the room is very tight. The mini‑fridge is handy, but don’t forget to plug it in. There’s a light by the bed for reading and the bed itself. All in all it’s good enough for a (1) night, and the price will be normal for a location about 25 car‑minutes from the North Sea coast in this season. The small rooms were very small, the stairs are very steep for carrying luggage up and especially down. Luckily someone from staff helped us on the departure day. The reception is very unreachable; they call you on the way and if you’re already in the rooms (5 in total) but if you call back immediately you only hear a lot of chatter as if they were at a busy bar. When I finally could pick up the call, the conversation was barely understandable! That could definitely be better. By chance another guest let us in; otherwise I wouldn’t have known how to get in on arrival day or later the next day for another trip to the coast. There’s a door code but I didn’t know it until the guest gave it to me.
“Heerlijk en echt genoten”
The optional breakfast was fantastic! Extensive, a lot of variety, super fresh and more than enough! Definitely recommended. The location isn’t exciting, but the surroundings make it more than good!
