The location is fantastic, right next to the lake and right in the middle of nature. Eventually there comes a time when a holiday home needs renovation and investment in maintenance and renewal; that time seems to have arrived here about 25 years ago. After the installation of the solar panels, the TV and the heat pump, it appears that hardly anything has been done to the house or its furnishings since the new build. Almost the entire interior is heavily outdated and in need of replacement. The double bed in the downstairs bedroom feels completely sagged and offers hardly any comfort. The bathroom is also impractical: showering in a tub is fine, but because the shower head is placed under the slanted part of the tub, it’s not possible to stand normally under it. The rest of the furnishings also leave a lot to be desired. The cutlery is not only completely worn out, but also brittle, making it barely usable. Basically the whole kitchen inventory needs replacement. Simple but essential barbecue accessories, such as a meat fork, are missing, and there is no washing machine or dryer. For guests staying longer, these facilities are nowadays considered a given. All in all, the impression is that the property not only needs renovation but actually needs a full renewal. Too much time has passed to carry out necessary maintenance and investments. What’s even more disappointing is that the property is presented on the website as a “luxury home” where you can choose “more comfort”. That description does not match reality at all. There is no luxury, and the promised extra comfort is nowhere to be found. The expectations set by the advertisement are not met in practice. What does make this accommodation special is the beautiful location.

I liked the friendliness and warmth of the staff. The bathroom sink had a leak, but it will be fixed quickly.

I appreciated the quiet spot and the cottages were pretty well set up, but there were some big problems. The place was dirty and it was hard to get answers from staff, plus some policies weren't super clear. That kinda took away from my stay.

I stayed at this hotel and it was super quiet and comfy, the room was really well set up and the fireplace was a nice touch. No complaints at all, it was just a really nice place to relax.
