I’ve stayed several times near Taksim, and this is the first hotel closer to the sea; there are many hotels in the area that seem similar. The building isn’t new, and our room was small, but we chose it for the price, breakfast, and location. It’s near the lower promenade, close to Galaporta, and a tram stop right below takes you to Aya Sofya; going up brings you to the square and Istiklal. The staff were friendly, no problems, and the broken AC remote was replaced immediately. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace with a slight sea view; you can also eat elsewhere during the day and evening. The AC is quiet, and we slept with it on. The only negative was that there were no windows—just a tiny opening looking at a construction site on the roof, which wasn’t a deal‑breaker for a one‑night stay. If you’re bringing a large suitcase, a taxi might be better; the narrow, steep streets are uncomfortable.

The location is convenient, close to the metro, bus stops, and water crossings, but construction near the hotel caused discomfort and noisy work early in the morning, which isn’t the hotel’s fault.
