“Paradise by the lake”

I stayed at this gorgeous property with amazing views, and the sunsets were just incredible. The sauna was a great addition, and I loved that they offered homemade breakfast for an extra cost, plus a shared kitchen with free eggs if you wanted to make your own. The owner, Kenzie, was super kind and even made us a special ceremonial cacao on Christmas morning. However, things were a bit disorganized from the start - our sauna appointment got forgotten, and we had to wait around to sort it out.

Casa Awänímä was exactly what I needed - a peaceful haven from my travels. The owner made me feel so welcome and at home, giving me a tour of the property and teaching me about the medicinal herbs. The breakfast was delicious and nutritious, and we even ended up staying for lunch too. However, I was surprised by how limited the dinner options were in the area - no dinner is served on site, and the nearby restaurants close early.

“An oasis with a mission in the heart of the lake! A wonderful place to stay”

Casa Awänímä is this amazing oasis in Tzununa - it's a bit of a climb to get there, but totally worth it for the peace and tranquility. The facilities are great, with a yoga deck, cold plunge pool, and sauna, and the gardens are beautiful to wander around. The food is freshly prepared and wonderful, and I loved being able to pick fresh herbs for my tea.

This place is stunning, with a beautiful garden that feels like the Garden of Eden. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfy, and the view is spectacular. The common kitchen is well-equipped, and Cheyo, the owner, is always available and attentive. However, getting there is a bit of a challenge - the road is rough, and you have to take a tuk-tuk, which can be expensive. The area is also super isolated, with limited restaurants that close early, and the property doesn't offer dinner service.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Awanima in January, and it was an incredible experience. The road to get there is rough, but once you enter the gate, you're in a totally different world of calm and relaxation. The owner, Kenzie, has done an amazing job turning the jungle into a paradise. Our room had a huge balcony with a hammock and chairs, and the view of the lake and volcanos was phenomenal. The garden is so well maintained, and you can use the herbs for your meals or tea.
