The staff, especially Steve, were very friendly. The Mermaid room was huge and pretty, with a very large terrace, and the breakfast was very complete. We had a ferry issue and had to postpone our stay by two days, but they did it free of charge, which we really appreciated. The pool in the Mermaid room was a bit disgusting; they don't clean it regularly and the tiles were all dirty. The main attraction of the treehouse room is its outdoor bathtub, but it was a surprise when the plug didn't work and you couldn't use it. Additionally, there was no light on two occasions and no water at night. The complex is almost all half-built. The menu is sparse and becomes very repetitive when you have no other option. They don't let you snorkel anywhere because they want you to book the activity with them. We did snorkel from the beach anyway, but the little coral left is dead. If you go to the area where we know there is some (but they don't let you), you have to cross a sea of plastic and construction debris that seems to have been "hidden" in some spots. In short, as it stands now, the hotel is only worth staying one or two nights in the Mermaid room because the stay is very expensive for what they offer and several areas that are built seem like they will collapse in a short time.
