La Bergerie Ouirgane - Serenity Lodge

I really enjoyed my stay at La Bergerie Ouirgane. The place is gorgeous, calm, and relaxing, with a beautiful mountain view. The setting is pleasant and the staff are very welcoming and attentive. An ideal spot to unwind and enjoy nature. Nothing particular to note. The stay went very well and we were overall very satisfied.

The staff were kind and eager to please. The place feels dated, the beds are barely full‑size (way too small), and the internet is spotty.

“sehr schöne Anlage, Preis- Leistung stimmt nicht ganz.”

An incredibly beautiful location with a very nice room; we had the bungalow right by the pool. Contrary to other reviews, we could use the pool very well and it was cleaned daily. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The entire complex is spacious, well‑planted, with several lounges, a bar where you can buy alcohol, many small, pretty outdoor seating areas, and friendly, attentive staff. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, we also noticed a few issues regarding value for money. Wi‑Fi is only available in the bar/restaurant, not in the rooms! You can manage if you have a Moroccan SIM card or know about it before booking, but that wasn’t the case. The staff seemed tense—perhaps due to some negative reviews—and were quite uncoordinated during dinner. I’m also unclear why drinks aren’t offered, for example when you’re at the pool. Dinner on both nights was mediocre to bad (unlike the good breakfast) and for a price of 180 DH (3‑course menu) definitely overpriced. There is no single menu with prices for food and drinks, which is odd for a theoretically large dining operation! The whole property has great potential; the staff were clearly trying and friendly, but seem largely untrained. In the room, which was very nice, we missed hangers and towel hooks, but that’s minor. We still left a good tip because we felt the staff did their best and couldn’t do anything else. I think the ambitions are high, but in terms of price‑performance it falls short. We hope this review offers constructive feedback and wish them much success.

“Pas de piscine ni wifi”

I was told the pool was available, but it was closed, even though the website advertised it. I asked to cancel because the kids and the heat made a pool essential, yet the owner refused to refund my pre‑payment. I threatened to sue for fraud, claiming they couldn’t even access their own site to confirm reservations or mark the pool as out of service. Eventually they returned my money, and I left the place right away.
