We discovered a different location and got to know new places. The room was small and self‑check‑in, and there were no facilities.

No place was liked. First, the first floor has no wheelchair ramp to lift luggage to the elevator. Second, the self‑service system was supposed to be fast, but the machines kept malfunctioning. Third, when we pressed the service bell the staff sounded very unprofessional, stammered, and it took a long time to finish the card pickup. Fourth, the family room had no doorbell, so we had to knock and only the family could hear, causing bruises. Fifth, if you’re renovating an old building, the plumbing had to raise the entrance, making it hard to lift luggage on the first floor, and we had to use the gym. Sixth, the environment and facilities make the room price only worth about 1xxx at most; the bathroom is too small. Seventh, when checking out the self‑service machine still stuck the house card! And there was no breakfast!

“Great value in a wonderful part of Taipei.”

The location is unbeatable if you want to be close to the old part of Taipei. For those who are ok with walking, it’s a 15 minute walk to the main station and there are so many good restos and cafes around the corner. The room was spacious and the check in/check out was seamless. Everything was ok, it’s a dated place (and the entry elevator may put people off), but the staff put effort into cleaning it and maintaining it
