“Safety and Cleanliness concerns”
The staff did their best to create a good experience, but we couldn’t enter the room we were assigned to; the front desk explained the door had to be opened differently but didn’t explain why. Opening it revealed a door that had been previously kicked in, with the latch plate barely held by a single screw. We were uncomfortable, and the staff offered a different room which we gratefully accepted. That new room’s door worked properly, though it had no security latch or similar measure. One comforter had a large blood‑like stain, the other had a cigarette burn in a non‑smoking room, and the sheet had dark marks that could have been mold. We had a blanket with us and slept on that instead of the offered comforters. The bathtub was cracked all over, and the floor of the bathroom was missing tiles. The windows rattled loudly with a slight wind, making the nearby train sound almost audible, so the night was noisy and restless. We decided not to stay our second scheduled night and found other accommodations that were much safer and cleaner.
