We had a decent stay, but there were some issues that let us down. The accommodation and food were good, and the staff were friendly. However, an engine problem meant we couldn't go on the lagoon tour as planned, and we were charged for it but not refunded. It was a shame, as we were looking forward to seeing the lagoon. Despite this, the staff were helpful, and we appreciated their efforts.

Our stay on the Yathra Houseboat was truly unforgettable. We've been back twice, and it's become a highlight of our trips to Sri Lanka. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel pampered and comfortable. The cruise was amazing, with rare sightings of exotic birds and monkeys. The candle-lit dinner on the upper deck was magical, and we even caught some fish to enjoy for lunch. The bedrooms and facilities were top-notch, and the staff's attention to detail was impressive.

We had a wonderful time on the Yathra Houseboat, and everything was just as we expected. The boat trip was breathtaking, and the sightseeing was well worth the stay. We were really looking forward to our stay, but things didn't quite live up to our expectations. The dinner was the highlight, but we were shocked to find out it wasn't included in the price and cost us an extra $25 per person. The description on the website was misleading, and we were expecting a lot more from our experience. The housekeeper greeted us, but his limited English made communication a challenge.

Unfortunately, our stay on the houseboat was a disaster from start to finish. The accommodation was way overpriced, and the dinner was a joke - we paid €50 per person for a meal heated up in the microwave. The boat itself was in poor condition, and the fridge barely worked. There was no beer or wine available, and the photos on the website were completely misleading. We were expecting a tour or some kind of activity, but there was nothing.
