“A terrible experience”
The spot was great, but the place felt old and had ants in the room and around the breakfast area. The shower knob in the main bedroom was broken, making it hard to set the right temperature, and a few power outlets didn’t work. No iron was provided, and the living‑room chair was filthy with gum on it. The TV in the main bedroom only displayed a black screen, kept turning off and on all night, and the remote was useless. The front desk knew about the TV but still sold the unit and wouldn’t let me switch rooms, offering only a handful of hotel points—far from enough to compensate. If I’d stayed longer I would have checked out immediately, but the rate was non‑refundable. This happens every time I book through third‑party sites; it feels like the hotels deliberately assign the worst rooms to their guests, and I’m not sure I’ll keep using those platforms.
