“Good location, food lovely and nice staff.”
The breakfast was great, and the evening meal at the pub was lovely. When we tried to get a table for dinner we were told there was about a 1 hr wait, but when we got a drink from the bar there were definitely non‑reserved tables and eventually they offered us one of those. We assumed we should have booked in advance. The room was okay, but a bit dated.
“Okay for an quick over night pub stay, not a leisure stay”
The village was quiet. The room was covered in dust even though the card said it was cleaned. The shower was small, the toilet seat was wonky, and the room was dusty. Other guests in the hotel were loud and screaming/shouting early in the morning.
“Disappointed and definitely would not stay again, avoid!”
The location was solid and the staff were friendly, yet the food was heavily overpriced, lukewarm, and served with cold naan bread; the bathroom was dirty, the toilet seat was broken, a noose from the pipes rattled all night, and the bedroom door wouldn’t close properly.
There was a large choice for breakfast (extra cost). The hotel sits on the main road in a small town, which suited us. The evening steaks (special deals available) were good.
“Overall it satisfied my requirements & the staff were lovely.”
Breakfast was good. The room was too hot for me; an air‑con would have helped.
