The public areas were very interesting and worth a look. This summer was just too hot, so the rooms felt a bit stuffy, but otherwise the place was fine at other times.
The hostel is very cozy and homey, with super helpful staff and a friendly atmosphere. The bed was extremely comfortable, everything was well organized and clean. I really enjoyed staying here, felt at home, and could come and go as I pleased. Thank you! No complaints.

The bed is comfortable and spacious, and the common area is very pleasant. The host is super friendly and gives great advice. The hostel sits in a very quiet area with good restaurants. Nothing to complain about.

The accommodation was gorgeous, comfy, and impeccably clean, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The host was incredibly kind, respectful, and attentive, spoke excellent English, always ready to help, and even suggested great local restaurants. It felt more like staying at a Japanese friend’s home than a hotel. A lovely park sits directly across from the property, adding to the peaceful vibe. Even though the accommodation is about a 10–15 minute walk from the nearest train station, I actually enjoyed the walk because there are many local restaurants and shops along the route, giving me a taste of everyday life as a local. This was truly the best place I’ve ever stayed in during my trip to Japan.

I was blown away by every aspect of this hostel. Ken is an absolutely amazing host, and the place feels warm and welcoming just like him. Guests can use the kitchen, which is spotless and well-stocked. The vibe is whimsical, authentically Japanese, and a lot of fun. It’s only a four‑block walk to the train or bus, making the location spot‑on. I’d highly recommend it and even stayed an extra day because I didn’t want to leave. Thanks, Ken, for your hospitality and for creating such a lovely space for travelers.
