The hotel was top‑class, the staff were very welcoming even without speaking German, the buffet varied and changed each day, it was a bit salty to our taste, and the only major drawback was the lack of an elevator to reach the floors, especially with a 6‑month‑old baby and all the gear.

“Disrespectful staff and inconsiderate facilities”

1. There is no elevator and no ground‑floor rooms, which is concerning for a first‑time visitor to Switzerland who didn’t realize some hotels lack lifts, especially a family resort where elders might struggle with stairs. The facilities aren’t disability‑friendly either, so if you’re not young or don’t have a family member who can manage, consider a cheaper hotel that actually provides these amenities. 2. Despite the high tourist volume, no luggage room was offered; the reception closes late at night, so arriving guests with heavy luggage must figure out how to carry it up the stairs after the front desk has shut down. 3. The staff behaved audaciously: a lady who previously spoke fluent English suddenly switched to German to avoid helping with luggage, claiming she didn’t know English. Only after we expressed our disappointment did she and another staff member actually assist us, laughing as if our request was a joke. We were 53 and 58, with my daughter recently injured, so we couldn’t carry heavy luggage. It felt like a dismissive way to shirk responsibility after we had already voiced our concerns.
