“Pleasant stay in a gorgeous town.”
The spot in Old Amersham had lovely gardens, but the mattresses felt like springs—could’ve used a topper.
“Disappointing facilities for the price we paid”
The room was cozy but cramped, with coffee and biscuits on hand and a fantastic breakfast at a hotel just 5 minutes away, yet we arrived to a double instead of our booked twin, no Wi‑Fi, and the bathroom light was broken.
“Very suitable for our needs with some points for improvement to be make it really a good venue.”
The bed was comfortable and the room clean, small but had everything we needed; breakfast at the Crown was good and a short walk away. Staying in a clearly historic building with a front door felt quirky, and the hot water gave a great shower. The street frontage forced me to keep the blinds closed because the bed sat by the window. The first morning the basin and shower were cold—only noticed after using the basin the night before. Telling the landlord fixed it, probably a boiler switch was missed. The main issue was the TV: I asked repeatedly to get it working but nothing happened. On the second day I eventually found the iPlayer link and other apps, but it would have been nicer if a card explained how to use them or how to watch terrestrial TV—or at least that it wasn’t possible. Spending so much time in the room made that lack of guidance frustrating.
“A nice comfortable stay”
I had a pleasant stay in a comfy bed, and the host was great; the location made London easy to reach, though the parking up the road was gone.
Die Zimmer liegen über einen kleinen Pub, aber ruhig. Das Frühstück stand für uns in einem benachbarten Hotel bereit. Es war sehr lecker
