“最高”
We stayed there for an anniversary and found the staff’s service, the location, and the room all to be superb; when we forgot something, they responded promptly.
“最高!”
If they mentioned that the shuttle runs only until 16:00 it would help, but aside from that everything was fantastic.
“A wonderful, authentic stay near Muro-ji with beautiful traditional rooms, incredible hospitality, and a memorable home-”
The hotel sits in a unique spot, just a short walk from Muro‑ji Temple, giving the stay a rare sense of peace and isolation. Many beautiful forest trails and the Art Forest are nearby, and you can even take a bus to a nearby town or village and return the same day with a little planning. The rooms are truly stunning, traditional Japanese style with exquisite details, very calm and atmospheric. A special thanks to the host who personally cooked a traditional dinner for us, making it one of the trip’s highlights; he was exceptionally kind, attentive, and helpful, and even drove us to the store several times, which we appreciated. The only downside is that without a car, transport is limited: the bus comes roughly once per hour, so you need to schedule your day around that.
“自然と静かな空間”
The rooms were spotless, and although they didn’t serve meals, the staff kindly pointed us toward nearby eateries.
“極寒”
The décor looked very stylish, yet the heating didn’t work at all so I spent the whole stay in a down jacket; even Uniqlo heat‑tech socks left my feet freezing, feeling like a sub‑par shelter gym. Hair was scattered on the floor and the underside of the toilet seat was still dirty, showing the cleaning was far from satisfactory.
