I slept a few nights in Tobago and the place was close to the airport, which was handy. The staff were friendly and let me check in late after I’d called ahead. The room was decent enough. However, the owner quoted me a bad USD‑to‑TTD rate of 7TTD to 1USD, which is wrong; the usual rate is 6.8TTD to 1USD and the official rate at the time of writing was 6.78TTD to 1USD. It felt like I was being taken advantage of, so I wouldn’t come back based on that alone.

The host was very friendly and the location near the airport and activities was great. I think adding another security measure on the main access door would give guests more peace of mind, since the property isn’t fenced or walled.
