The hotel is within walking distance of the Mission ballroom. We checked in late and had trouble finding parking, so we dealt with Gil, who was very sassy and rude at night. The rest of the staff had always been great, but our experience with Gil ruined it. We won’t return; we’ll stay at CatBird from now on.

The reception staff were very friendly—shout out to Andy for being so kind and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable, exceptionally clean, modern, and well maintained. Nothing else to mention.

We paid for parking in a muddy gravel lot even though the garage was full. On the second day I felt ill and needed to get into the room, but the key didn’t work. I waited at the desk for 10 minutes and had to swipe my credit card again. I was charged $160, told it was a hold, and that charge is still on my card. I was assured it would be removed.

The camera was clean, though smaller than most other rooms we tried on our trip. Reception welcomed us well. The hotel isn’t near Rino’s venues; walking takes about 20 minutes and you cross a railway. Breakfast wasn’t a buffet but a coffee and a dish ordered at the hotel bar. I couldn’t find this info anywhere, which would have made me choose another hotel. We also waited 30 minutes for our ordered plates, which seemed excessive, especially since only two tables were occupied in the entire bar. Finally, while we were getting ready, at 9:15 a woman started knocking on our door to clean the room. Check‑out is at 11, and I had even put a “do not disturb” sheet on the door, so I was quite surprised and annoyed by the insistence to enter the room while we were still there.

The rooms are brand‑new and very comfortable, and the breakfast was a pleasant surprise. We asked the hotel to store our almost‑empty suitcases while we rode a motorbike through the Rocky Mountains, and they made it extremely hard to agree; they even charged us $50 USD per bag without any guarantee, which feels outrageous given we’ll be staying another four nights. Most hotels offer luggage storage, and this one isn’t cheap.
