I keep coming back to this spot in Tokyo because it’s right near Ueno station and Ueno park is just across the street, which feels like a real treat. The rooms are small but tidy and fully equipped, and I especially enjoyed the public bath that offers a stunning view.

The place is great for families, with spacious rooms and bunk beds, plus the ability to cook. The air‑con unit needed cleaning and left a moldy smell in the room if it was left on during the day, and they didn’t offer gluten‑free options at breakfast.

The location is superb—directly over Ueno Park, close to three train stations, and in a lively yet quiet part of town. Our room worked well for a family of four. There’s a cafe inside that serves breakfast, and I was particularly fond of the public bath on the 14th floor.
