At first glance it looks good, but the entire structure is covered in mould, fungus and smells of cockroaches; I woke up with a headache from the mould the next morning—don’t stay here, it’s a toxic health hazard.

The location is excellent on the main walking street, quiet and close to everything needed, but the rooms aren’t maintained well enough—there’s a snail in the shower, many ants on furniture, walls and ceilings that need renovation, and the high rating on Booking doesn’t reflect the true value.

The hotel’s location is fantastic—just a three‑minute walk from the night market with its restaurants, stalls, and great bars, a minute from a 7‑11, ATMs, and excellent massage spots; it’s perfectly central yet quiet, the staff are cheerful and polite, and the price is very cheap and worth it. However, the rooms weren’t well maintained, with ants roaming freely; the shower’s water pressure and temperature were good, but the shower head was subpar.

The location was great, my room stayed quiet, and I enjoyed a beautiful mountain view; the food was excellent and the vibe was nice. The room was cleaned daily, the staff were very friendly, and they let me leave my luggage all day for free after checkout. I’ll return next time I’m in Pai. I paid £12 a night and it was worth every penny, plus the bed was huge—loved it.
