“⚠️ Vorsicht für alle, die echte Exklusivität erwarten”
The room was fine, but the Regnum The Crown is marketed as an exclusive high‑end hotel while the reality is different. The biggest issue is that the Regnum Carya is right next door and its guests can use the pool, beach, and the Daphne Buffet‑Restaurant of The Crown. This makes the central areas regularly crowded and sometimes overcrowded. A The Crown room that costs more than double the price feels disproportionate to the advertised exclusivity. The adult‑only rooftop bar is also very small; after about 11 pm there are hardly any loungers left. Regnum Carya guests can use the area for 80 € and it fills up quickly. There is no real exclusive retreat. Service often lacks attention, initiative, and speed. Employees sometimes stand together, chat, and seem absent. For this price level that’s unacceptable. However, there are staff who show a different approach: Oktay at the Lotus Restaurant and Emre at the Yan Ji Restaurant were exceptionally attentive, warm, and emotionally sensitive. Guests felt truly seen and comfortable. Unfortunately, such positives were a minority compared to the rest of the staff. One could ask the rest of the team how those two interact with guests. The food also falls short of the claim. Maia was the only positive experience. Many a‑la‑carte restaurants lacked flavor finesse, proper seasoning, and sometimes correct doneness. In the Daphne Buffet Restaurant, dishes were often lukewarm or really cold, even freshly cooked pasta was almost always cold. Despite repeated requests, plastic bottles were still served instead of glass.
