The facilities were great, especially the onsen. It was hard to find at night—the GPS led us to a large multi‑storey hotel instead, and we got confused. Finding a place to eat after 7 p.m. was also difficult.

It was truly wonderful! The owner was very kind and the breakfast was delicious. The small onsen was pretty too. There aren’t many convenience stores nearby, but the owner drove me to shop for groceries. Transport isn’t great, but it’s very close to Kinosaki Coast, perfect for watching sunrise. Google Maps walking directions have a bit of trouble; a bike ride takes about 15 minutes to reach the trail. The area has little light pollution, so the stars at night are beautiful.

We loved our one‑night stay. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure we understood everything we needed to know. At check‑in we also booked a 45‑minute slot in the private onsen, which we both really enjoyed. We had a room with a separate bathroom, toilet, and kitchen/dining area. The beds were comfortable. The whole property was very quiet, so we slept well. The landscaping is quirky and interesting, with plenty of spots to sit and relax. Parking is good. The entire place is clean and comfortable, and we liked the size of our room. The only downside is that there are very few restaurants nearby that stay open in the evening; we did find a supermarket a few miles away. So you probably shouldn’t stay here if you don’t have a car.

The outdoor private bath was really enjoyable, the staff were very kind and welcoming, and the bedding was good quality.

We found the place beautiful and unique, right by the Jogasaki coast, and loved the lush plants, flowers, and volcanic rock buildings. The host was incredible—she handled our flight delays, arranged early rooms, and even picked us up from the train station, so I’d return in a heartbeat. I’d recommend arranging breakfast at the property because most places don’t open early and it can be a hike to get there. As an American, the multiple steps and varying floor levels in the room were a bit unfamiliar, but that’s common in Japan, so I just had to get used to it.
