How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
Everything was exceptional, from the amazing food (unique in its kind) and the clean facilities. Ken is the head monk of the temple, and with his they wife managing the property. They are very nice and amazing people. Not a negative point per se, but keep in mind the temple stay is located on a high point. So a taxi from Minobu station would be recommended

Ken is an absolutely wonderful host. The temple hotel offers a genuine Buddhist experience that pulls you in. He gave us a lot of explanations, let us join the evening prayer in his temple with him, and the morning prayer at the main temple with other monks in the area. He took the time to show us the temples and really accompanies each guest. The meals prepared by his wife were vegetarian and absolutely delicious. The accommodation was perfect, traditional, and we had a sento upon arrival. We had an unforgettable experience here. Ichi‑go ichi‑e.

The location, the generous time the host spent with us, the food, and the chance to join the morning Buddhist temple prayer were all great. The whole dressing up, the prayer, the food, the beautiful mountain air, and our host sharing the history of the place gave us very enlightening conversations that my friends also enjoyed.

The best part of my stay in Japan. Ken‑san and his wife were extremely kind, the place had a calm atmosphere that invited reflection, and the food was excellent. Everything was amazing, definitely recommended.
