Staying in this beautifully preserved old mansion was a real treat – it sits right by the cathedral and is only a few minutes’ walk from the Imperial Museum.
The breakfast was surprisingly generous even when there weren’t many guests.
I came back for a second stay and everything was just as I remembered – friendly service, clean rooms and no hiccups at all.

The comfort of the bed was great, but the bathroom needs a small maintenance.

The stay was in a quiet, beautiful spot near the Cathedral. The staff were excellent, even when I arrived at 5 am I was very well attended to. Breakfast was simple but had good options—fruits, cereals, hot dishes, pão de queijo, several breads, cakes, jams, yogurt, cheeses, and cold cuts. The room I stayed in was a decent size for two people, had a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom, and a shower with good water pressure. Nothing bothered us; we had a peaceful stay.
The bed was good, the room was clean, and the sheets and towels were fresh and fragrant; parking on site with a valet was convenient, the location was great, and the breakfast was satisfactory. The air‑conditioning was noisy, and because the hotel sits close to the Cathedral, the bells ring every hour and are a bit disruptive.
