I've stayed in some amazing places in Sri Lanka, but this one was a bit of a letdown. The price was steep, and for what you got, it wasn't worth it. I think the biggest issue was the lack of communication from the host – it would've been great to have someone on site who could help with any problems. Some small touches like a kettle in the room or a communal space to make a cup of tea would've made a big difference.

We had a great stay at this hotel, despite a few minor issues. The pool was amazing, and our family room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and the hotel itself was clean and well-maintained. However, there were a few problems - the water pressure was quite weak, and we had to boil water on the first floor to make tea. We also had to buy a travel adapter in a nearby shop, as the hotel didn't have one. And, annoyingly, there were no disposable toiletries provided.

The rooms were great, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. It's a great spot to explore from, and the rooms themselves were clean and comfortable. The only thing that would've made it even better was some more amenities in the room, like a fridge or a kettle. But overall, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay.

We were initially told that our booking had been cancelled, but the hotel kindly offered us an alternative stay at a nearby place called Woodnest. The owner of Woodnest was super friendly and accommodating, and we ended up having a great time there. It was a bit of a hassle, but it all worked out in the end.
