We expected a good stay, but it turned out even better. The hotel and rooms are amazing, and the team is awesome. Linda and Jennifer took excellent care of us, and Caitlynn, our guide, was amazing—she listened and helped us find the animals we wanted to see. Marataba made our honeymoon unforgettable. It’s truly one of the best hotels we’ve ever visited, and the little attentions and surprises made the stay unforgettable.

The lodge is pretty, with original tents/rooms and a small‑scale feel. Maintenance could be better, and the lodge overall gives a somewhat messy impression (garden, construction waste). The staff were very friendly but not always professional. The food was sometimes very refined, sometimes a bit less so.
