“Excellent staff and a lovely beach, but the overall Breeze/Imperial resort experience fell short”
The beach was a highlight: a lovely calm sea, though it’s very rocky and you should wear beach shoes. The Breeze rooms are relatively close to the sea even though the resort is huge. The Breeze staff were excellent; housekeeping kept our room tidy, water bottles were refilled generously, and on departure day they arranged a shower room for us in the afternoon after checkout, which we appreciated. Manager Aris was consistently helpful and visible around the hotel, offering small surprises during our stay. Restaurant reservations through reception worked well, and we could book several days ahead at check‑in. Of the à‑la‑carte restaurants, Meze was clearly our favorite, with great starters and mains. Ammon Seafood was also good, though portions were small.
It’s hard to understand why Lindos Breeze and Lindos Imperial are listed as separate hotels. You stay at Breeze, but the restaurants, buffet, bars, beach, pools, and most facilities are at Imperial, so the Imperial experience largely defines any review of Breeze. The cocktails were especially disappointing; they’re pre‑mixed by a machine and barely taste like the intended cocktails. The main buffet is huge with plenty of choice, but the atmosphere feels more like a busy food court. Some food was lukewarm, meat was often overcooked and dry, and nothing stood out. It can get chaotic, especially around desserts, with children running around, touching buffet food, and playing with balls near the bar tables. Cleanliness is inconsistent; supposedly clean plates sometimes still show residue. We also got chicken strips from the main pool bar with one piece still raw inside, which we only noticed after eating most of it. Our room was very basic and felt closer to a 3‑star standard than a premium hotel. The shower was narrow, especially for a tall person, and soundproofing was poor. Our room had a locked connecting door to the neighboring room, through which we could see their light. After 23:00 on several nights we had to ask the neighbors to keep the noise down. We didn’t request another room because the poor soundproofing is a structural issue and another room wouldn’t guarantee quieter neighbors. Breeze guests can’t use the Lindos Imperial Wi‑Fi, even though they spend most of their time at Imperial, so Wi‑Fi is effectively only available in a small part of the resort. Beach towels must be collected from the spa, which opens at 10:00. We wanted to swim at 09:00 on our first morning and had to wait until later.
